Author Topic: Ipod Touches- Jailbreaking  (Read 1331 times)

Recently, my friend jailbreaked my Ipod and added a forgetload of songs to it. I have some weird ass SBSettings, Activator, and Cydia things available now. What can I do with a jailbreaked Ipod, exactly?

And yes, I know Apple won't repair my Ipod should it get damaged.

Turn it into a vibrator.

Turn it into a vibrator.

I don't think iPods come with a vibrator
Mine doesn't anyway.

I believe there is a "MyVibe" app available

SBsettngs is an app to configure a way better notification center, cydia is pretty obvious, and Activator binds anything to anything eg. I could bind Safari to when I shake my iPod. Just incase you/anyone was wondering

Just for a heads up- No, this isn't bannable.

Jailbreaking is awesome in my opinion. Get themes and apply them, there are things that give free in-app-purchases and free apps.

lmfao not it's not, enjoy your ban. jailbreaking is legal. piracy, in any form, is still illegal.

anyway OP, you can do a whole bunch of cool stuff like apply themes, modify how the device behaves, and a ton of other things. for instance, look on Cydia for an app called "Infinifolders." it allows you to have more than 12 apps in a folder. also, look up "Springtomize" for more springboard customization that you'll know what to do with.

oh, also look up Winterboard, iFile, and Insomnia. Winterboard allows you to change themes, iFile is like windows explorer for an iOS device, and Insomnia keeps your device connected to wi-fi even when it's asleep.

I heard Winterboard isn't compatible with Springtomize. I haven't touched my Ipod in years. My opinion.

The hell? He's not gonna get banned.

No one likes a stickler for rules.

Also, how do you apply themes?

How do I do that?

Jesus christ what?

GPsPhone is cool, it'll let you play GBA roms. Remember you can only legally play backups of games you own. c:

k maybe I took what he was saying a little too far but apple does care about piracy, and he should be watching what he says. I would know, I got banned for talking about that kind of stuff a while back.

anyway, just download the theme in Cydia and then apply it with Winterboard.

at least I think that's how you do it because my iPod hasn't been jailbroken in quite a long time, the method might have changed since I last did it.

I believe he meant that jailbreaking is legal, not piracy

I believe he meant that jailbreaking is legal, not piracy

He was talking about free apps and free pin app purchases, and said I quote "Piracy? It's legal according to apple."

Well considering he talked about free apps and free in app purchases before I can assume he was talking about that.

I believe he meant that jailbreaking is legal, not piracy

yes but

there are things that give free in-app-purchases and free apps.

that sounds a little weird to me. I know he's not telling exactly what can do that, but it sounds suggestive of piracy to me. :/
