Author Topic: Overpopulation is a rapidly growing threat, how would you fix it?  (Read 7139 times)

No it wouldn't.

17500000000000 is 17.5 trillion you idiot.

Wait, really? Hang on.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1000000000_(number)

1000000000 x 7 = 7000000000

2500 times 1 billion is 2500000000000/ 27878400 (5280 squared for miles) = 89675.16069788797

89675.16069788797 / 3794083 = 0.0236355295068368

Ok, I take it back, I added some zeros where I shouldn't have.

EDIT:

Ahha.

Ok, I totally forgot to square it, my bad. I'm a history major, not a mathematician.

populate unpopulated islands, convert parks to living areas, live on the water, space stations?

No it wouldn't.

Everyone who makes a mistake is an idiot hurrump durrump

Stop.
Having.
love.
This man wins. I vote this person president 2012.

Your math is wrong there chief. It's 627726.125 square miles. You divided by 5280 instead of 52802.

Ah. Yeah, and apparently I added zeros somewhere somehow.

That's what I get for trusting just using Google calculator and not actually using a calculator.

We'd be talking about 125 Montanas.
No stop trying to do math.

Google calculator is fine if you know what you're typing in.

Overpulation will probably what will make us exctinct the far future.
It sucks that a lot of people are butthurt that they might not be able to have a family with twelve kids so they can collect welfare are using human rights as a excuse, if the population starts becoming too big they can expect more human rights to be violated in the future.

No stop trying to do math.

Yeah, my bad.

If you can't tell, math is not my strong subject.

Though, once I realized what I did wrong, I never disagreed with him on the issue of space. We have the space, we just don't have the resources.

Overpulation will probably what will make us exctinct the far future.

Did you hear that on Yahoo news? :cookieMonster:

this isn't a pressing issue, i seriously doubt overpopulation will be a legitimate issue in our lifetime
doing stuff like colonizing antartica or space is stupid, there won't be any mass colonization of space any time soon, colonizing antartica doesnt work for obvious reasons, its a loving huge block of ice

I'm not Cubelands :c
Grammar isn't an easy thing to check on a phone, and I'm damn tired.

Yeah I know, I was only kidding.

It would take a lot of work to make Antarctica a place where life can be sustained but it's possible.

Someone like Yosher said that 2012 December 21 will fix overpopulation right up  :cookieMonster:
