Go to your animal society again and say hi to her but don't lurk around her, get to know her better in person, then start texting her more often.  You can text her now but keep it at a light conversation.

yeah.  my town is boring, so we supplement it with parties.  so it's like, you go there, drink a bit, talk to some girls, find one who's receptive, say "you want to go for a walk?" then go outside and make out.

no joke, that's exactly what happens every time.
