Author Topic: Weapon packs - Realism or Non-Realistic?  (Read 805 times)

Realistic - Less shots to kill someone (IE. 3).  To OP or realistic?

Non-Realistic - Takes more than 3, harder to kill.

Information gathered will be going towards a Slayer Territory server.

non-realistic, 1/2/3 hit kill weapons are just dumb
plus if its non-realistic, you can have more weapons other than spas 15s and gg12s and colt 45s and other dumb realistic weapons

Sgt.A.Walkters weps.

Super inaccurate to any gun.
Takes .5 shots to kill someone, meaning if you look at them they die.

Tier+
Well balanced, but some are to OP. Ex. Sniping with a shotgun.

Yoshi mans.
Good balance and range limits, meaning a shotgun has a limited range, and the automatic rifle has a somewhat far range.

Frogs weps, sorta like teir+
Well balanced for all your future builds.

Now for the not confirmed list: Gravity cats, balanced i think...
Blockcombat. Well balanced, there is even a bit of proof on the page.
I think thats all.

EDIT: Anyway, Blockland was not made to be realistic, it was made to express your imagination through building with bricks.

gravity cats weapon pack has annoying sounds and the RPG is dumb as hell

i dislike using tier+tactical because the weapons do so little damage that they are ineffective against crowds or when you sneak up on a large group of people
i prefer weapons that kill faster, doesn't mean they are realistic though

I like both. IMO style and consistency is more important than if the guns are realistic or not. One thing that I do like is features, sprint, iron sights, fire modes, ect. I also like criticals, they are so satisfying.

"Realistic" weapons work for certain cases, just like non realistic ones do as well. Someone shouldn't rule out a bit of realism in a weaponset just because its not blocklands "theme", it can still work out and people will still use it in certain cases.

But as a general statement, I would have to say non realistic weapons take the cake when it comes to blockland. Realistic weapons can limit players ability to do things how they wish in certain cases, while non realistic weapons don't. Non-realistic weapons are good for pretty much any scenario (ex: bushidos T+T) while something leaning more towards the realistic side can ruin certain games and limit players to playing a certain way.

Fun fact: There have been hundreds of cases of people being shot tens of times without dying

2 shot kill realism my ass

We're not all Achilles, Mr. Jelly ;)

No I'm serious

they were like normal bank robbers, soldiers, everyday people

I know, just having a poke ;P

Realism should not come at the expense of fun- that's the main thing. Jumpy, bouncy, DMs can be really fun and Blockland is pretty good for that.

Unrealistic makes more sense if you mean the style of it. But realistic is always better if you're talking about lethality

How many bullets it takes the kill you isn't dependant on actually HOW many, it's WHERE they land. A bullet to the brain, or heart will kill you 1 shot. However, You could probably spend several mags shooting someone is say, the shoulder, or hand before they die. (If they even do)

Realistic is for RP and Hardcore Borderline-Sim's

Non-realistic is going to suit you better.

The bullet to the brain has a chance to only damage your neurological system rather than killing you (albeit rarely)
