Author Topic: Life lessons that kid shows try to teach but it's not true.  (Read 1192 times)

Got this topic idea when I walked into my room and the TV was on and the LEGO movie Atlantis was on (Regular show was on earlier that's why it's on CN). This one chick said something along the lines of "The only way to fail, is to give up." I honestly think that's not true, like let's take a look a little Jimmy. Little Jimmy didn't give up, he tried his hardest on a math test but ended up getting an F. Let's look at big ol' Fred, he stocked up on health potions, bought the best gear leveled up all of his characters and Sin Spawn still kicked his ass. So anyway, post Life Lessons that kid shows/games/books try to teach but it's honestly not true (and please give a reason why, unless it's obvious).

Go!

i hate the message usually on toddler shows. "You are special"
its simply not true in any case. and even that young, it is instilling this idea that every kid is entitled.

then they grow up to be lazy, or snobby, or less educated. no one wants to work for anything or earn anything anymore.

i dont get it^^^
nvm, special olympics.

"just do your best, that's all that matters." effort is not all that is required to succeed. "you can do it" no, you can't. "cheaters never win" nope, they win if they don't get caught.

"be nice to everyone"

or "treat people how you would like to be treated"

"no, you won't be punished, what matters is that you told the truth"

I like the message from the Simpsons episode 'Bart gets an F' (Don't worry it's only second season)

"Even if you try your best, you can still fail"

I'm not being sarcastic or anything

"no, you won't be punished, what matters is that you told the truth"
that works when you're like 3  :cookieMonster:

"no, you won't be punished, what matters is that you told the truth"
i just bashed this guy's head in and raped his eye hole... "well what matters is you told the truth, billy"

"It doesn't matter whether you win or lose, as long as you enjoyed the game"

MOTHAFUKA HE CALLED IN A AIRSTRIEK

Or the fact they make deadly animals look nice..
Hey look its Mr. Crocodile! Lets go talk to him!

IRL:
Hey look its Mr. Croco... - Dead

"no, you won't be punished, what matters is that you told the truth"

But parents say that so the kid can get in trouble
