They essentially said that this is all bullstuff to shake down consumers for money. The fact that comcast gave enough of a stuff to care about it's users makes me all warm and fuzzy.

Glad to have them as my provider.

Wow this sorta makes me happy I have comcast to. Aside from our stuffty connection. Not to start stuff but can you get banned for linking to a torrent site?

Linking to a site that has a Torrent Program like Utorrent is not bannable seeing that torrents are not just used for pirating nor is it intended to be used as such. Linking to a site FOCUSED on pirating using a torrent program is Ban worthy.

Sorta-kinda-no. This is the only good thing I've seen out of them. Otherwise, stuffty customer service and shoddy reliability.

I hope more ISP's follow their example. I don't think I would consider comcast as an ISP though. I'm getting a new one soon, any advice?

Comcast is an ISP. They're very big around Baltimore and I'm guessing the northeast area too.
