Gay marriage is illegal because marriage is a commitment to God and the bible clearly state that gays aren't allowed. The bible also states you should not go into marriage with the intention of not to have kids (gay people can't have kids).

Marriage has existed before Christianity. Purely for legal reasons, gay marriage should be legal.

Straight people don't hold parades every month with a bunch of women in bikinis running around and making out with their husbands. Sure there are maybe a few straight pride parades but not as many as gay pride parades.
