I randomly got this idea for a Howitzer build.

Meh, kinda bland to be honest, though for functionality it looks like it'd work find.

Way too open. In blockland, the M119 is most effective when at a 20-30 degree angle, protecting your head would be best instead of having the potential to go 90 degrees.
