I would like VCE to be enabled at least most of the time, it is nice to have when there is a lack of other events.

Also the Moderation Team looks solid. Should be a fine server.

I'll think about VCE and look into it some more. I realize there's a lot of very popular mods and if I add what everyone wants, we're going to have a bloated server.

And yeah, we have a really all-star moderation team here. My goal by the end of September is to have 30 moderators. By January I hope to have enough moderators that there will almost always be someone in the server. Right now I'm scouring my email contacts, friends lists, and the people I know off the forums and have talked to for years. After I exhaust that I'll start looking for people in the server to make moderators and start training to be admins.

If you plan on putting VCE on the server, you might want to lower the per-player schedule limit so that people can't spam loops of annoying sound clips or spam explosions. Additionally, you don't want to include the zone events addon with VCE because it's been a source of abuse on freebuild servers. Obviously this won't be a problem when you have enough moderators to keep at least one on the server at all times.

what use does VCE have here?

VCE has tons of cool applications when it comes to themed, community builds. You can add a lot of interactive parts to your build that people can play with while looking at it. Think of the cakes people would put in their builds on Badspot's block party.

See it's bullstuff like this that wants me to keep from adding them to server. I'm familiar with normal events and I know all the ways they can be abused to spam annoying sounds and kill people. Loops created in VCE are always cleared when you die, and any events currently running can be terminated by typing /cancelevents. However even with that knowledge it's still really annoying when you step on a brick and suddenly your screen is being flooded by prompt windows. I think it would be safe to allow VCE if you don't enable the following addons at the same time:

• Prompt Events
• Message Box Event
• Zone Events

It might also help to lower the per-player schedule limit to around 20.

Wedge- never activate Bot Events.

Feel free to enable zones, vce, whatever... just NOT bot events.


also, seventh is misinformed- fungus/event abusers nowadays are not using petty zones.

After running the server for a while I think we decided not to add any event mods. There will be competitions and events where they're available.

The server will be coming back online shortly.

We've added mug/goblets, fence bricks, window bricks, and biplane. That's it.

We've also got a lot of news that I'll add soon, including a few new admins, and our first mod SlickSilver555, who is also writing up a nice server plugin.

Also in the future you may be able to purchase custom avatars on the server, with the requirement that they're 16x16 and they're approved by the staff. Price pending.
