Because this is Blockland forums, land of the idiots and starfishs (for the most part).
I can't even get my friend into Blockland because of this. He said the community is stuff and I really can't argue when stuff like this happens.

I found the posts following OP to be typical of the internet response.  I don't see how this is abnormal but of course it is appalling to anyone with a sense of decency, however I am surprised that this was the tipping edge (and I don't mean it in a bad way, just surprised) for you OP considering that there have been innocent threads with worse responses from the forum before.
