forget man. I'm trying to find the entrance to X18 and every bandit is dead and 3 pseudo-giants are stomping around with tons of loving rats. What do

Rule of thumb; if you're playing a mod which makes gameplay and balancing changes always carry a shotgun
forget

I just sold my TOZ for an Ak74u

If you run fast enough then you could get past them all without firing a shot

Yeah I know but these pseudo-giants hang out right in front of the damned hangar enterence

Seriously? No. Just no.

Seriously? No. Just no.

Seriously yes.

You are playing a mod which makes the game super easy and then you even have the cross hair on. I mean why

Because not everyone wants to die a thousand times and end up with a playthrough which is 50% loading screens and all the audio being screams whenever he's died for the tenth time in a video.
Not to mention how terrible the starting weapons are. Just because you get it at the start shouldn't mean it can't hit beyond the end of your nose.

It's a Let's play and not a Let's die and epiclly fail in a hard game.

Then don't be bad? I rarely die in fights and if I do it's because I make a tactical error and move from my position too early and a bandit goes "CHEEKI BREEKI" and shoots me. It's a much more enjoyable experience when the game is actually challenging and not "haha see that bandit? Well, he doesn't see me! Watch this, I'll use this peice of stuff AKU and hit him from 1500 meters away!"

I find STALKER to be an incredibly fun simulator game to play. when i play games, i usually play them for the fun had and story.

STALKER: Complete has done wonders for the game imo. The whole "enemies" don't shoot at you if you're more than 5 feet is a little bit, exaggerated. ive ended up pinned down by snipers many times! it also adds great graphics, nice and warm in the day, pitch dark and cold in the night. the guns also sound a lot better!

just because people play the game on easier difficulty doesn't mean they're bad at the game, they just play the game for it's amazing gameplay, story and mechanics! you shouldn't really judge people for playing the game on easier settings, because not everyone wants to be a super mlg player when they grow up, some people just want to play the game and have tons of fun. i find stalker complete can enhance both the AI and graphics to make the game ever better than it was before!

You lose out on a lot of gameplay and mechanics by using the casual stuff. And no I'm not exaggerating at all they literally don't shoot you unless they have a ~100 meter line of site which is ridiculously small. I'm not sure about with snipers, but even if it doesn't change that it's a moot point either way. COMPLETE only includes a graphical improvement, you are able to download the graphical portion of COMPLETE to an AMK install.

Here:

And now, for everyone's enjoyment the 'Why Complete 2009 sucks copypasta'

- All weapons have their accuracy increased 10-20%
- All damage decreased by few percents.
- Weight limit increased by 10kg, maximum being 70kg. In vanilla the Exo-suit enabled up to 80kg!
- Limits NPC's eye sight distance so they can't spot you from beyond ~100 meters. =You see them always first. Said to remove enemies skill to spot you from"unrealistic distances".
- Sound radius of knife and other critical sounds such as falling dead bodies, grass, and footsteps greatly reduced
- Reduced the sound distance of death cries
- Repair Kit - A special item to the game that allows you to repair weapons and armors out in the Zone. Can be purchased or found. (Not necessarily a bad thing, but I digress)
- The bar trader and Screw now sell weapons and armor repair services.
- Elite Nightvision - Black & white night vision based on the psy_antenna postprocess effect. Replaces the original UV-based blue NV, and lets you see perfectly in the darkness, be there light sources or not.
- The old, “green” night vision has much less noise and blur. NVs don't emit any audio noise anymore (=can't be heard by NPCs/mutants).
- scientific suits with 90% rad protection now feature an anti-rad injection system.
- bandages auto-apply at 10% health.
- enabled a tracer effect for armor-piercing bullets, making them visually distinguishable when use
- allows looting cash from bodies (CS & CoP only)
- You can BRIBE hostile factions to leave you alone.

They advertise Complete as "vanilla experience", as "only bugfixing visual overhaul". In reality they change the gameplay stufftons, usually only making the experience EASIER than vanilla game. Their bug-fixing reputation is also overrated, Complete09 only uses older beta-version of ZRP as its base, and CS & CoP versions tend to add MORE bugs and annoyances.
