Hello,

My friend had sent me a voiceover recently that was in WAV format. When i try to open it, the error comes up: "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file."

Help Plz?

it's a link to google.

the file may be corrupted or maybe, like it said, it was compressed with a codec it can't understand.

ask your friend how he made it.

Try using a different program to open the file.

VLC supports lots of stuff.

can you suggest some?

Otto, could i send you the link to the file and you sort it out?

probably best that you do it in case it happens again.
