Author Topic: Dish Network dropping AMC network  (Read 725 times)

For those of you that have Dish Network, on July 1st, they're dropping AMC. If you like to watch The Walking Dead or MadMen or whatever, you'll probably have to get DirecTV or Comcast because Dish is a bunch of starfishs. Just thought I'd let whoever has Dish know.

EDIT: Not only are they dropping AMC, they are also dropping WEtv, and IFC, and the Sundance channel. Sundance was already dropped back in May.

They also dropped Fox a while back.

Heard about that. Seriously, the forget is up with them?

At least they have G4. Unfortunately, G4 sucks now and has relatively nothing to do with gaming. Maybe the guy that was cheating on his wife plays GTA, but that's about it.

Glad I have wifi and netflix!

Lol forget no, G4 is purely made to appeal to lonely people.  It's the most rundown garbage "gaming" channel ever and always was.

Inside Connect fella's!
Exclusive in my area last I heard.

High speed interwebs and cable for a low price :D
And I live real close to the place (I could walk there in an hour)

It used to be alright, now its like "no"
But yea now its for the people who don't have anyone to hang out with.

Exactly.

However I don't understand how TV providers and channel companies interact.  Do TV providers provide a contract to the channel companies (i.e. AMC or IFC), or what?

Maybe the TV provider gives and offer to the channel company and if the offers right they'll allow channel rights?
Thats what I think.

I <3 DirecTV
This but its to expensive for us to keep :c
When that new cable came in we jumped on it because we got a cheap bundle of phone, internet, and cable.
Before we had it all stupid..
Phone = Verizon
Internet = .... None really other than that Verizon wifi thing that was slow as hell
Cable: Direct TV

That ran our bills WAY up really loving us up.
