Yay a jail roleplay.
Now hold on, before you raise your rocks and pebbles towards me in anger for this clearly outrageous idea I would like to show you some pictures and tell you the mechanics.

Mechanics:
I assume pretty much everyone knows how a jail RP works.
Except they are mostly executed in a horrible way (hey i foudn a rwacket launchair! IN MY PILLOW!).
I have hosted another jail RP in the past that was pretty successful. I literally loaded it up, took the individual room and area ideas, and updated them with anno 2012 'graphics'. I also threw in some fixes here and there, and a gameplay element or two. The basics: Prisoners spawn in jail. Walls are in a very bad shape due to the walls being made out of virtual plastic. Some walls may be touched (activated) at which instant they crumble before you. While this may prove a handy way out of your cell this also provides the guards with plenty of reaons to turn you into a swiss cheese (make you ded). There are also some yellow lines spread throughout the jail. Cross them as a prisoner and the guards have a 100% weapons free on you. oh and if you try to open the main yard door they can shoot you to. And if you hit the guards with a sword or a gun or something.
Just try to escape without dying.

Current rooms are: Cell block, guard HQ, detention (and execution), essentials (food & showers - don't drop the soap), a workshop (car repair and woodshop), a library and the administrator main control room from where I reign this server in a tyrannic way (actually one of my main goals is GOOD, 24/7 administration).
Also the yard, which is divided into two parts: The gym area (basketball, weightlifting etc) and the random sitting and chill-out area. The latter also houses the main exit, which you naughty prisoners aught to not touch. There is also a guard tower present with a nice sniper rifle for better swiss-cheese-making.

I also pulled a holy-stuff-why-do-you-do-this on the guns and items, using NON-T+T!
Just the default gun, the shotgun by Ephi and the sniper rifle by what-was-his-name. The only active non-default weapon is the gas grenade. Which only spawns every 60 seconds. Because you aren't supposed to use it for something else then defending the last point as a guard.

There are 2 guard control booths, one overseeing the inner hall with the cell block and the other overseeing the yard. These house all door control. Most doors can also be manually opened by using the DEFAULT (!) key. The secrets or crumbling walls in cells are present in 1/2 of the cells, but the spawns are weighted to the cells without in the order of 1-spawn-per-escapable-one and 3-per-non-escapable-one. Remember that entering a secret is proper grounds for a guard to mercilessly murder you brutally on the spot.

If you even dare to loving freekill I'll simply use the resurrect command on the guy you killed and I WILL brutally hunt you down with a banhammer resulting in a ban of non-mentioned lenght. Don't try. Seriously.

Teams are also weighted, 2:1 for prisoners - guards. That means for example 16 prisoners would have 8 guards.

I will be hosting as soon as I have posted this thread. Also yes it's grey because prisons aren't a loving theme park. You may rate x/10.

I sigh'd a little when I saw "Jail RP", but then I saw your name and clicked on it anyway.
It looks solid and thought trough. The buildings look alright. Exterior isn't exactly overwhelming (I'd might even be tempted to call it bland and ugly), but hey: it's a prison. Prisons aren't supposed to be themeparks, as you said.
Interior looks nice though.

Overall: I might stop by and give it a try, even though I usually hate Jail RP's because of how crappy they are executed.

Oh, and that sniper was made by Kaje.

Soap on a rope is the holy grail to inmates.

That is understandable. No need to use time and bricks on the exterior when all the action is happening inside. Prisoners will (hopefully) never even see the outside :P

I'll see to it c:

32/32 players, went very well.
Maybe need some more administration that doesn't abuse the rights though.
When the server closed I put my banhammer on kick, put a password on the server and had a great time chasing everyone down while invincible.
Blockhead10514's idea to make this an actual gamemode sounds really good too.

Sounds good, but make it 15 minutes/kill.
And do it dramatically with the hammer which I'll set to the lenght value you ask me.
I won't be home for the coming 8 hours thogugh, but count on a at-least-5-hour-host after that.

Finally, a jail that looks like an actual jail and not just a box.


Also, playtesting revealed that I need to fix the following:
-Phasing through the roof due to jumping and crouching stuff
-Prisoners being able to win if they just kill a lot of guards and time runs out

Okay, first of all, that was the best jail rp I have ever joined.  Ever.  (Though that isn't hard with the quality of these rps, is it?)
Next, if you need moderators, I would be glad to help.  There is however a 93% chance I won't meet your standards. 

And I have an idea for the server.  Basically, when the prisoners begin the actual escape sequence (the console near the door), it automatically release 2 dogs, each with a bite that delivers 20 damage.  If you kill them they do not respawn until the next round.
