Server will be up most of the time (it's dedicated). I cannot have it up 24/7, but will have it up as often as possible.

Special Event Sun, July 1st at 6PM:
The server will be hosted on July 1st at 6PM, and we will all play the game. If you are interested, and plan on being there, please make a post, and I'll add you to the list of people that will be there. I will be there as well, so it will be moderated. Lets have fun, killing each other and invading the castle.

Game objectives:

Attackers: Your goal is to infiltrate the castle. You do so by capturing the control points. First you take over the bridge, this allows entry into the castle. If you control the bridge, the defenders cannot close the castle gate. Once inside, you can then take control over the courtyard. If you control the courtyard, you may now resurrect inside the courtyard. If you lose control of the courtyard, you will once again resurrect all the way back in the starting cave. Once you control the courtyard, you can also go inside the castle. Just go inside and go to the throne room. Don't worry, it's a straight shot, and all other doors will not permit you access just to avoid confusion (there's no reason the attackers need to go anywhere else in the castle). If you capture the throne, you win the round. However, at any time, if you lose control over the courtyard, even if you are in the throne room, you will be booted outside of the castle, and must retake the courtyard.

Defenders: Your objective is to defend the castle from the attackers. If they control the bridge, you will no longer be able to open or close the gate (it will remain open). Take back control of the bridge in order to close the gate. If the attackers take over the courtyard, you will no longer be able to resurrect inside the castle, and will resurrect outside in the houses. Try not to lose the courtyard, because it is a vital control point. If the attackers manage to get to the throne room, and capture it, the round will end. So your top priorities are the throne room, and the courtyard. The lowest priority is the bridge, but this will prevent any new attackers from getting into the castle (pending you are in control of the courtyard as well).

Overall (all players): Each team will start off with 3 basic weapons (sword, spear, bow). If you really explore, you might just come across a few spells hidden around the area outside and inside the castle (as well as one spell hidden in enemy base). And if you explore enough, you might just find the not really all that hidden, Master Sword. All spells hidden in both the enemy base and castle, can also be found outside. Some spells can only be found outside. Be sure to explore to find them!

Rules:
Do not cheat. Spawn camping is especially forbidden.

Do not ask to be admin on the server. If you really want to be admin, make a post here with a good reason why you feel you deserve to be admin. Please note that I will only accept a few people, and I will do so at my own discretion.

Do not harass the other players, or admins. You will be banned for doing so.

If you see anyone offending the rules, and there aren't any admins online, please take a screenshot and provide it in this post. Action will only be taken if there is convincing evidence that a rule was violated.

Version notes:
1.55:
Added a player health bar so people can tell how much health they have, and so that they know when they have fully healed by taking food.

1.5:
Took out a few spells, and left the ones that aren't exploitable (wind and ice would allow entrance to anywhere you can imagine).

Made most food you see around the build heal the player for 5 health (each food item will disappear for 20 secs)

Made all powerful items respawn every 2 mins to prevent too many people from getting them at once. 1 earth spell is ok, but not 20 people with earth..

Made signs in the castle to clearly show where you are, and how to get to the main exit. Just follow the exit signs to get out.

All weapons have been removed, and players now start with all 3 basic weapons, so that they don't have to try to find something in order to get to the objective. Spells are still hidden though. Every spell found in the castle and the one spell in the enemy base, can also be found outside. And the one spell (earth) is not in either base. That should be balanced good enough.


Administration will be needed, however, at the time being, no admins will be added until the player base is actually something. Currently, there aren't enough people showing up. Once, or if ever, it gets popular enough, then I will consider allowing people to apply.

If you have any suggestions on improving the game, and keeping balance, please feel free to post them here. If I get enough suggestions of a similar nature, I will do my best to update and improve the game. As well as, any ideas that were given to me, will be credited in this post.

Nice looking map you have there, though.


I've been around for a time actually. A few months. I've been working on multiple builds in secret, and this one was one that the idea came in the middle of my other "secret" projects. So I decided to get this one done because it would be far easier to implement than the other ones.

So, more is to come.

The color of the trees to the grass are the same, it doesen't look that good

Yeah I know. I've tried to change the color of the grass or trees by just modifying the colorset, but instead some blocks would go to some wacky color.

I don't have any other greens is the problem. I'll have to change the color set and try to keep it from killing the other colors.


Ohh, this looks nice.

The build looks really nice and its sounds fun. But the attackers should have some sort of siege weapon or something similar on the outside to even out the game. They should also have to break down the door to get inside, like 1000 hits with a sword or something instead of just waltzing into the courtyard. It would also be cooler if the map was longer with more capture points and the final one being the castle. With each capture point the attackers would  be granted something new, like a couple horses at one point or a catapult at another.

But yeah looks real good, nice job.

Those seem like nice ideas, but I couldn't make the build any larger because it's already just under 60k bricks and I'm sure some may not enjoy anything larger.

I had thought about the attacking the door thing. I would need a specific weapon so that ONLY the attackers would get it (on start), and so far I don't know of any such weapon to have been made. I know how to do the events, I just would want a weapon that made sense (like a battering ram, or very large mace).

If enough people show interest, and it seems worth doing, I will indeed update the game to play better. For now, I will just wait and see if people are actually interested in the game, before I go and make any changes. I will listen to all advice given, so everyone's opinions are definitely worth giving. And again, if anyone's idea for improving the game was used, I will add that person's name to the credits.

Try out the "Destructo Wand Idle" emmiter for torches.

This looks pretty epic.

It brought me back to when ARC hosted medieval castle sieges and things!

OK, I've decided to go ahead and update it now. It's gonna be down until I finish (should only take a few hours tops).

What I'm going to change:

Trees will be recolored to a darker color (I will have to do this manually, ugh).

The courtyard will no longer have secret entries into it, and instead, there will be another capture point outside the castle which will allow entry if the enemy captures it. Like the courtyard capture point, this will be able to be recaptured.

No damaging doors or walls will be implemented, as I don't want it to be any regular weapons, and cannot find any siege weapons for addons.

I will also be fixing an error I noticed, which although is a rare occurrence, can be rather bad if it happens. This error happens only if the main doors to the castle are opened JUST as the enemy captures the courtyard. I will be simply modifying the events to prevent this from happening.

So, when it's back up, it should be more enjoyable, and more balanced, so that the attackers have to actually work, while the defenders still have time to prevent the castle from being lost, pending a capture point is taken.
