What I don't get is why we launched a few cruise missiles and bombers in Libya, but not help Syria at the same time. Anyways, I think we should only help those who ask for it. During our revolution we asked to French to help us fight the British and their condition was that we had to prove that we were worth helping. Ofcourse the French probably helped us to try and take us over after the British were gone, thankfully that never happened(yet).

I say let Europe and the rest of the world rot and burn while we fix our problems here at home.

did they actually say they will use nukes? or did they say that it is what could end up happening. saying "we will use nukes" sounds a lot worse than saying "it could be a conflict resulting in nuclear war"

its because if a nuclear war did start, they would lose. we would be mad if they did that to us. it essentially renders them 100x less threatening.

Somewhere around the 60's I believe China broke of with Russia and started there own version of Communism which also hurt Russia's influence in Asia. They haven't been friends exactly since then. I could be very wrong though.

Russians and Chinese had a border conflict and China deployed one million troops along its border with Russia preparing for a war, but today they are allies.
