It's a mindset, not a mental disorder
You're both right and wrong. There's depression, which is a 'feeling/mindset.' And then there's Clinical Depression which is actually a mental disorder that basically can be seen like a thermometer. It's like, the positive temperatures and happiness, negative temperatures are coldness. It's like the thermometer gets stuck at the lowest temperature in the Winter, and won't raise.

It doesn't work that way. Im going through this right now. Im having girl problems, and I dont want to break anyone's heart. The girl I like, She has the softest voice I have ever heard, but I hate having to leave her. She's done too much.
Edit: Her girly voice choking up, makes it hard to listen to it.

depression is one of those self help conditions.

just like alcoholics. like stfu and have some will power. you weak people act like you are so unfortunate and diseased.

Brought a manly tear to my eye.

Dammit, I have a soul ;-;

I GOT SOUL AND I AM A FORUMEER

I have one friend who has be hospitalized because of a situation like this, and 4 others that have done some kind of self harm on a regular basis at some point.

I won't make jokes about it because I'd like to see these people continue living.

For those who are making jokes have fun man.

Many people have a really rough time dealing with things, either because of mental disorders or stuff piled on top of stuff that they have no control over.

I do agree with the whole "shut up and make life better" idea but 90% of the time its not that easy.

I've been hospitalized twice for suicidal thoughts/depression.
Its a long process to get out of depression, its like a black hole sucking you in.
I'm glad at least some people posting are sensitive and have helpful things to add.
I know its too much to ask from a forum, especially this one, but I hope at least one person can realize how much of an issue this is, rather than saying suicidal/depressed people are wimps or whatever.
in my opinion, everything in the video makes a lot of sense and actually is realistic.
