Author Topic: Google Chrome is being stupid, need help.  (Read 2785 times)

For me on the other hand, Chrome keeps crashing at random intervals.

Thanks for the help.
I'm going to try to fix it tomorrow, because I tired and want to sleep.

I got the same issue.
It works when it wants, not much changes.

First of all, try rebooting.
If that doesn't work, try entering this into cmd:
Code: [Select]
chkdsk /F
and then reboot when it tells you to.
If it still doesn't work, run
Code: [Select]
del /S /Q "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data"
and then start Chrome. Note that you will lose your bookmarks, etc UNLESS you have it synced against your Google account.

This happens to me sometimes if something goes wrong and a chrome.exe stays open.

taskkill /F /IM chrome.exe

Or I could just click it in task manager and close it

Im not an idiot I know how to end processes

taskkill is faster if there are many processes left though.

For me its not a big issue, it only does it once in a while.
Never effected me.

Firefox is okay,
but Chrome all the way.

Chrome is pretty like a flower,
Firefox uses massive CPU power.

Google Chrome works fine for me lol. It's probably the fastest browser I've used, and reliable, for me.

IE, on the other hand, crashes when I try to open it.
There is no speed difference in browsers. It relies on internet speed.
Even if there is, then I haven't noticed it when I tried Chrome and Firefox.
It actually took them longer to do anything, not to mention a stuffty format.
Turns out to get into favourites on Chrome you have to press a key combo. Wtf?

Firefox uses massive CPU power.
In other words: hybrid software and hardware rendering for generally higher frames per second

That's because it isn't noticeable but still can have a huge impact on rapid web browsing.

You can enable a favorites bar or get to it in a menu.

Huge effect yet you can't notice... Yeah that makes sense.

It took Chrome longer to load, but Firefox was about the same.

When I say format I mean the layout. Everything was in a stupid place.

Why doesn't it do that by default then?

Around more than 85% of tests say that in regards to speed, Chromium > Google Chrome > Firefox > Opera > Internet Explorer.

Because you're used to a cluttered browser in the first place.

Why doesn't it do that by default then?

Because only people who want clutter want it.
