I noticed a lot of new players joining the game.
Almost none of them have experience in building at all.
So I decided to make a "
Blockland Building Lessons" thread to help out all of the noobs.
YOU MUST HAVE THESE TOOLS WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES
Here are some basic add-ons that you should get before starting to build a house (although you don't have to get them if you don't want to):1. The Duplicator
The duplicator is easily one of the most famous add-ons in blockland. It allows you to make an exact copy of the bricks
that you select.
Instructions for use:
1. Install add-on
2. Enable add-on
3. Spawn the Duplicator from a brick
4. Hit the supporting brick of the stack of bricks that you wish to duplicate.
5. Plant the Ghost Brick.
Here is a picture of said add-on:

2. The JVS door system
The JVS door system is another famous add-on. It allows dynamic opening and closing doors and levers.
Instructions for use:
1. Install add-on
2. Enable add-on
3. There should be a new tab in the bricks menu. It is called JVS.
4. Plant a JVS brick.
5. Click on JVS brick to activate.
Here is a picture of said add-on:

Lesson 1:
HouseMany new blocklanders don't have a house to call their own, and don't have the ability to make one yet.
So, this is a step by step tutorial on how to build a house.
First, here are some tips about building a house, or anything else.
Tips:1. Many noobs think that it is hard to build walls, but with this quick tip I am
about to give you, that is a challenge that no longer needs to exist.
1. Start with a 32x32 baseplate. This can be found in the "Baseplates" tab of the brick menu.
2. Plant the brick, and make it a different color than red. Like brown or grey.
3. Make walls. Here is an image with
DIFFERENT COLORS FOR CLARITY OF BRICKS.

Those are 6x5 bricks. And 5 of them will fit on a 32x32 baseplate.
4. Use lots of different colors.
This is good:
And
THIS isn't:

5. Use the duplicator to duplicate your walls around the entire baseplate.

6. Make the walls a little taller, because you don't want your head scraping across the ceiling.

7. Make the roof.
The roof is a challenging and fearful topic for most noobs, so they quickly
create a shabby roof out of 1x1s. This is no longer the case with this step by
step roof-making tutorial.
To make a roof, you don't need to place 1x1s everywhere. A baseplate will be used as a roof here.
Baseplates aren't only for the base of your house.
Start out with the same baseplate that you used for your bottom of your house and place that ON TOP of the
house.
Get a brick from the brick menu that looks like this. It can be found in the "Ramps" tab

Place that brick on top of the house, with a little overhang, like so:

Build that up
HALFWAY
Duplicate it all the way across the roof.

Do that for the other side as well.
Fill in the empty spot with white bricks. Make them 1 back from the baseplate like so.

Now you will add bricks that look like this:

The new bricks have been colored yellow for
clarity only, don't do this yourself.
Duplicate the ENTIRE thing to the back

8. The Door.
Make a hole like this, and add some 1x5s along the sides

9. Make a window.
Make a hole like this:

Add transparent bricks:

And you have a house!

Furniture.
