People of the Blockland Forums, I come before you today with great shame, embarrassment and humility. In the process of carrying out my official duties I allowed my prejudices and biases to get in the way of my work. I now realise that this lapse in judgement on my part was a flippant betrayal of the faith and trust you, the people, have placed in this office.
It is with great regret that I must tender my resignation - effective immediately. I have concluded that it would no longer be in the best interests of this community for me to continue to execute my official duties and would only serve as a distraction from the great cause for which we have worked, for so long.
It has been an honor to serve this fine community and I am proud to have played a part in all that we have accomplished. I wish my successor the best of luck in continuing the duties I was unable to fulfill, and truly hope that my reprehensible actions have not irreversibly damaged your faith in this office.
