Okay, here's the deal:

Recently, we just switched from local internet to satelite internet. For some weird reason, my Blockland sucks with this new internet. Does Blockland not run well with satelite internet? Everything else on my comp. runs fine, just not Blockland.

sppedtest.net results?

I'd say that its likely the satellite Internet has poorer upload / download speeds.

Please post your speed results as the post above me recommends. I only know one other person who used satellite Internet, and they said it was so horribly slow they couldn't use any of their games.

Nah, satellite internet has the bandwidth for fast up/download speeds but the latency involved in sending a signal up to space then back down again almost certainly renders it useless for playing games.

Ah.

Posting your speedtest is pointless, you're not going to be able to play properly.

Maybe when you got the internet you selected a cheaper plan then when you had before, thus the internet being slow. I prefer cable for internet, you dont lose signal whenever it rains or when I had Verizon (not fios) I would lose signal as soon as I heard thunder.

Plus I have unlimited bandwidth from comcast, I dont see why you guys decided to change.

Just post ur speedtest results.

I'm still curious to see what the results are.

Here are my speedtest results.

Yeah. You can tell by looking at the uplaod speed.

It usually takes in excess of 500ms for satellite connections. You have decent speeds.

Yes, we have nice speeds but Blockland still won't run as well.

Our local internet is like 150$ per month and it's slow, but I can run my online games. This new internet is faster, and is $80 per month, but can't run online games.

Talk about being caught between a rock and a hard place.

Satellite internet will never work for online games because the satellites are in geostationary orbit at ~35,000km altitude.  This adds an extra 460ms to each round trip at minimum, just due to the speed of light.  460ms is unplayable as it is and then you add on the extra time for processing the signal in the satellite and at the ground station and the normal internet delay and it's hopeless.  You're better off with dial-up.
