I keep getting this error when I try to change my avatar, and I have no idea why:

What's the maximum file size for avatars? Everything about it is correct. It's a GIF, it's 75 x 75 pixels, and it's only 179 KB.

Does it have something to do with the fact that I'm using stuffty hotel Internet at the moment?

just wait till you get home and try it, it's not an urgent thing to change your avatar unless its research.

yes, I did change it, but the one you see is not the one I'm trying to use.
