Yeah it's ashame artists get too caught up in pop culture.
But it's to make money so have at it.
i forget who said it, and lots have, but one wc rapper said that he would make his songs about meaningful stuff that he cared about and stuff people could relate to, but he knows thats not what people want and he wont make money if he does. so he raps about loving and love. kanye even addresses it in one of his songs saying, "if i talk about god, my record wont get played". i think its jesus walks.
