Author Topic: Resolved - YouTube Subscriptions List locked in Highlights Mode  (Read 1392 times)

Well whatever YouTube is doing broke Subscriptions once again. I can't get it out of Highlights mode, even in the Subscriptions page.

YouTube is really wasting my time now. I was busy yesterday up until early this morning, I check YouTube real quick and there's stuffloads of videos I missed I'd like to watch. I'm like "I'll watch them when I wake up." Now Subscriptions is forgeted up and the only way to do this is to check each individual person out of 52. Which will be a horrible pain in the ass to keep track of which I'm seeing and which I'm not in that way.

Does anyone have a workaround for how they broke YouTube subscriptions during this update? It's locked in Highlights mode no matter what. Maybe it's a browser specific problem? I'm going to try IE now.

I expected this fixed by today, but it isn't. My subscriptions are still locked in Highlights mode. I've tried clearing cookies and resetting my browser, fresh pages. Something is wrong.

Edit: I just cleared all my YouTube cookies again, restarted with all Add-Ons disabled. Still broken. Not that it's make a difference, the problem persists in IE as well.

Edit2: It seems that they finally fixed it. Cautious optimism.

new account, just re-subscribe.

about 10 minutes it'll take.

It's account-specific? What? Dude, I have a bunch of videos I don't even have on this computer on the account. I'm not making an entirely new account just to fix this.

what the hell deciphers if a video is a highlight or not?

show a pic

A picture of what? My profile?

Something random that makes no sense. All I know is PewDie still comes up because he's popular and gets views up the ass, so I know that's a variable.

I ran into this and was so pissed.

Have you clicked on "Get started" or whatever? After clicking that my front page went back to the way it was.

I recognize "Get started" from somewhere, could easily not be from YouTube. I'm not seeing anything like it on the front page or my channel. Would you know anymore about that? Sounds like a solution.

It should be at the top center like "Get started with subscriptions >"

I remember something like that, but I'm not seeing it now:

I clicked the regular "subscriptions >" and looked around, but I couldn't find any special buttons.

Wow you're screwed.

What's really getting me is I can't even find this problem on the internet. I found one entry on Yahoo Answers. A big problem is Google returning "How to get more subscriptions!" stuff. It's hard to tailor the search...

Could someone with that option give me the link (minus any personal information if so so I get the format and can send myself there, myself?
