Author Topic: So I'm looking to buy a new TV  (Read 467 times)

I'm looking to get a new television. The sad one I'm using now is a RCA ColorTrak Plus (Figure 1 - 2) and it is just an old television. So I ask you, what should I get for a new and modern one? I currently have my eyes on this one: shortenedURL. My brother has had a 37" Vizio TV for about 3 or 4 years and he hasn't had a problem... so far so I'm assuming it's a decent brand.

Two questions though:
1: Does it really matter the 60/120MHz refresh rate?
2: What exactly is the difference between LCD and LED?

Note: That's the same model of my TV, not my actual TV. So I'm not the one in the reflection.

If you had actually read, I'm not getting the one in the pictures. The one in the pictures is the one I already have. The one I'm getting is linked in the OP you didn't read.

I'm pretty sure it's as old as me, and starting to die. The coaxial jack is a bout to break. It's not HD, which a lot of channels stream in now, and I have to dust it every day. stuff gets nasty on dat screen.

LED are better than LCDs

The ones that someone showed me at Walmart called "Sceptre" get nice reviews and are decent prices

So the one I'm looking at is a great TV according to that guide.
