so my dad has "invited" his bosses over (invited as in "hey, we haven't seen how you've settled into your new house"). its a bunch of rich white people and im scared as forget as how to act, my dad just got this job and has to make a good impression. my dads freaking out too but hes had more  experience with these kind of people.

how the hell do you act around rich white people?

are you white?
no
and these are like you know, midwestern people

why do you refer to them as rich "white" people?
are you poor?

If it's dinner just never EVER let go of your fork and knife. EVER.

If they talk to you, hold a conversation. Don't use slang/act like a dumbass.

You're scared because they're white? Hahaha, oh wow.

As long as you don't act stereotypical, I think you'll be fine.

educated white people absolutely hate slang.

Oh, and dress somewhat decently. Shorts or jeans and a t-shirt are a no-no. Make a good impression.

because they have a lot of money and are white...? they have that pretentious "im better then you" attitude.

no, where did i say that? white people around here have some sort of feeling that they are better then every other race, and these people aren't any better. this is my dads bosses, you know the people who are in charge of his job that brings in money, so i dont want to do anything wrong.

well forget its too late for that, changing right now would be weird.

If you look like a hobo, your first impression would be bad. I live in a wealthy town and presentation is EVERYTHING.

well we cleaned up the house pretty well and im not wearing really saggy jeans or anything

i know a rich white guy wouldnt want to be in a black family's home unless they were ultra welcome. the upper class white have learned to not trust black people for the millions of obvious reasons.
