I've had this problem for a while now. I've been searching all around web for answers for this question but i still haven't gotten my headphones to work the way they
should, so i tough you guys may be able to assist me in this situation. And please no stupid tech support stuff like "are they plugged in?" please.

Right click volume icon in taskbar, playback devices, set communication headphones to default communication device, hit apply, then disable communication headphones.

Desktop. Front input. Also for some reason my stereos wont work in the back input anymore even tough they worked fine before.

Steps that just might fix your problem.
First, go to media player
click left click in the left hand corner
go to tools
go to options
go to devices
double-click speakers
click advanced
click speakers again
click set default
Hope for the best and cross your fingers.
