How do I enter my Halo key?

so I have Halo Trial, no key is entered....

I've been searching on how to do it, I've re-installed and looked for a button to enter my key. but I can't find it ._. Help please?

You buy Halo, the key is on the CD's case within the box, when you put the Halo CD in the computer, you have a menu where you can enter the key and install the game

You can't get the trial and just have a key, you need the CD

its like saying I bought a Cd.(JUST the Cd) for 5 dollars,
and went online to search for A key usually 30 dollars.

I'm assuming this is Halo 2 for PC, because the original Halo 1 for PC doesn't have a function like this (Halo 1 is either downloaded as a one-level, DRM free demo or sold as the actual full Halo 1 game with a serial key and a CD-check).

Halo 2 for PC runs on GFWL.  If you don't have a key at all, you will need to buy one.  If you paid for one and did not get one, you have been scammed.  It is practically impossible to get around Games for Windows Live protection, it's one of the toughest forms of DRM.  Other discussion of this involves piracy, so your only option is to buy it.
