Author Topic: How do I get norton anti-virus to ignore a file it already deleted?  (Read 1549 times)

A dll.
well let me pull every single .dll file ever made out of my magical hat

what .dll

saying 'a dll' is way too ambiguous

Norton sucks richard get avast, ad-aware, or malware-bytes

AVG.
easy, fast and quiet.
and it does not spam you about upgrades, but updates rather often.

AVG is a pain in the ass to remove

It's from mediafire, and mediafire has a virus scanner, so...

For a definately free anti-virus that doesn't spam the stuff out of you, Microsoft Security Essentials is the way to go.

Avast is the best. Been using it for a couple of years now and never really had a problem with it.

Norton does not function and is just a money pit promising better performance for more money.
It is a worthless Anti-Virus. Get a new one.

AVG spams the stuff out of you to upgrade.

No it doesn't.
I've been using it forever and I have never had any type of virus, adware, malware or trojan. I haven't seen any "please upgrade" messages anywhere either.

Do you have the free version or the bought version

The free version.

Damn, back when I switched to AVG Free for a while I hated it. Always poppin up and running un-needed background stuff. Thats when I learnt it was a giant pain in the ass to remove, and I literally had to edit my registry to get rid of it. Windows wouldnt uninstall it, and i couldn't get it to stop running in the task manager...good times, good times

But hey everyone has different experiences lol
Come to think of it i havent run a virus scan in almost 3 months. Maybe im overdue?

don't use that dll.

whatever you're planning to do with it is above your head and probably illegal.

Listen, I've had Norton all my life, I hated it from the beginning, but after some updates it's fine.
Stop yapping about changing AV every time someone asks a question.

No offence.
