actually my mom saw on Facebook that she was hospitalized and died later on because of that.

That was at least 10 gallons of water, times that by 8 you get 80 pounds of stuff falling on your head.

She was definitely not ok.

Now of course the report could've been false because this is the internet, but whatever happened I'm sure she wasn't like "oh gosh darnit now I'm gonna have a bruise"

uhh yes you can die from a bucket of water falling on your head, it all depends on the angle.  If her head had been straight up she probably would've at least got hurt, but since he head was already down thats probably why she was fine.

People get killed by toasters.  An 80 pound bucket of water is a hazard.
