Since Lucas hasn't returned yet, you decide to pop into the Skill Shop really fast.

: Hello, sir! Welcome to the skill shop!

: Since you are in here I assume you are looking into buying a SAMS unit!

: Uh.. Yeah. I guess.

: Well lucky for you we are having a Special on SAMS this week!

: Each SAMS comes with our 2 available Skill Allocation Structures for free!

: I... Im not sure I know what that means...

: Let me explain. SAMS are used for organizing your skills and abilities in an organized and convenient fashion. It allows you to get the most out of your abilities!

: SAMS work like tablets, and you can install extra programs or get accessories for them to increase their abilities!

: A Skill Allocation Structure is a modification for skills! It changes how they are organized and powered up, and what benefits you get from them!

: We have 2 Available right now, sadly. There are hundreds of different kinds for all sorts of different people!

: The two we have are called "Tree" and "Stack"

: Tree acts like a fractal, splitting off based on the skill its designed for. Each "branch" will produce different skills.

: The stack function is very basic, and will level up skills in a linear fashion. While not as diverse as the Tree, it allows for faster leveling capabilities.

: Any skill's SAS may be modified at any given time, and all Skill Points will be returned to the user.

: There are also these thinks called Stylizers. They allow you to change the color, shapes, and effects of skills. Some more complex skills cannot be modified by Stylizers, but for the most part alot of skills can be!

: They are purely cosmetic.

: Ooh. Sounds fancy. How much does one of these "SAMS" units run for?

: 100 Gold!

: The price used to be higher when they first came out 30 years ago. They also used to be the size of a desktop computer!

: With the new Portable version they can be taken where ever you go!

: Ok. You got me.
You fork over 100 of your 200 gold pieces. The cashier gives you a quick run down of operation and usage of the SAMS.

: You can also download apps too! However there isnt a very good internet connection on this Island yet, so you will have to wait till you get somewhere with a Internet connection.

: Awesome. Thanks!
Back outside, Soren is waiting

: There you are. Sorry for running a little late...

: It totally okay. I got time to buy a SAMS unit.

: They are quite useful. Well made and very customizable.

: Anyways. I got the stuff we need.
Soren hands you a device that looks kinda like a Telescope and a silver colored lens.

: This device is called a Mendeleev Scope. It allows you to scan matter and identify what elements it is made of.

: That lens you are holding gets attached to the larger end of the scope. It will filter out matter that isn't a pure substance.

: I want you to look go to the tower and find where their source of Mercury is.

: Why Mercury?

: The construct they have that created the shield runs off of Mercury, so they must have a large supply of it somewhere. Trust me. Its all part of my plan.

: And while I go look for the funny silver stuff what will you be doing?

: Investigating the Mines. There is a very important... thing hidden within them.

: I don't want it to get destroyed or stolen. It is vital to this island's existence. However I don't know what the Pooba's men are doing so I should go look around.

: If you say so.

: Good. Now go. Investigate the tower. Meet me at Lucas's Forge when you are done.
Soren walks off towards the mountains before you ask him why their meeting place is Lucas's Forge. Should you catch up to him, follow him and then split up later to get to the tower, or take your own path to the tower?
