a few issues
- i don't like talking to people, especially if i'm the one who starts the conversation
- everyone there is like 50 or 80 or something
- most people are just passing through and not sitting in the room
You wouldn't really be talking to them, and your mind would be kept off of it anyway because you'd be playing a game.
Older people would probably love to play with you, however the last one is quite an issue, maybe see if someone is waiting there and ask them or something I dunno.
And again if you play by yourself maybe people will play with you so you're not playing alone, make it a drop in/out type game where when nobody is there you're playing by yourself, and when someone comes along they can pick up right in one of the other ghost player spots. This way people don't have to play for very long and can leave/join whenever they want.
