Author Topic: A little house I made, need advice  (Read 2087 times)

I used modular terrain bricks for the roof, since I'm bad at making roofs. I made the garden just a few days ago, and I modified the colors/added more rooms just today, but the house was made a long while ago.
Rate x/10, give tips, explain where I went wrong but no overly harsh/unhelpful criticism like "this sucks" without saying how to improve.

Doors are meant to reach the floor, not the wall's border! Usually floors aren't green carpeting! Usually walls aren't green carpeting! The garden doesn't fit! The colorset could dervie a bit more from green! Usually houses have furniture! The bench is a tad too large! Add more windows! Rabblerabblerabble!

I would try playing around with roofing options a little bit. Also it needs a lot more windows.

It's a bit too dark, but you will probably add lights. The flowers look like they belong in Candy Land, make them different and more natural colors.

the main reason it's dark is due to me messing with adjustable plate and accidentally making it too dark
EDIT: Here's a better lit picture

Sorry for double post but I was wondering what colors should I change the house to, or should I leave it like it is?

snot green probably isn't the best color for an entire house. change it up between the walls and floor, but make sure to keep it consistent.
the external side of the walls are flat and bland, give whoever lives there some windows so they can see radioactivecupcakes next door.
and yeah, pretty much what flamecannon said

definitely needs windows

doors should go all the way down to the floor
make the difference between rooms less subtle
you should generally try to separate exterior from interior if possible.

It's you personal house, It's perfently fine, but the only thing I would comment about is the door placement

Does need ALOT of improvement.
Great starting block, though.
Things to improve on:
- Everything is really bare. Add more windows, add more garden, add more furniture!
- Same colours! Change that. (unless that was intended)

It's like the bare version of a really good house.
Just keep adding things to it.

I changed the house slightly, see OP for pictures.

Front seems too flat... Try adding a window or two to the front that are popping out or add a windowsill with flowers or stuff on it
