Interesting. That page is dedicated to making it seem like they won't shut down without the contract, and that they could get it if they want it. Other companies are in contract with them and have no issues, the only greedy handicaps are DirecTV.

viacom isnt being greedy. they arent asking more then other channels (network families)directv are just cheap asses. they cant compete with cable normally, they need to undercut cable by having less monthly charge on the customer. yet doing this, they cant afford to carry the networks at those prices.so they lose channels.this is how companies naturally grow and die. if your service/technology is inefficient. you go out of business slowly.
