brickybob is right.  Minecraft is really overrated, but I still enjoy its creative mode honestly.  The new survival mode content is just downright stupid, they make it so friendly and there's so much stuff that you have to know beforehand.  There's literally no way for a new player to know how to do a good portion of the game.  It was going great but with the introduction of "The End" (which is absolutely useless and serves as a "congrats you're done" marker) everything went downhill.

There's a ton of stuff from Facebook and Twitter that I've seen that'd fit perfectly here though.  Too bad I didn't screencap them.

I usually only play minecraft for creative
sometimes I play the Xbox version with my cousin, because, for one thing, the crafting is a lot better imo than the computer version
and also because it's fun occasionally
the problem though is that once you get to full sets of diamond there's really nothing to do

It's really sad, I used to love Minecraft.  But then it got mind numbingly boring.

multiplayer is the only way I can imagine to make minecraft really fun
half the time it's still not fun though
it's only fun with friends, because otherwise everyone usually just moves out somewhere on their own and becomes a hermit
and even then, there's too much backstabbing, in the form of stealing, killing, or telling someone else where they live in return for something
plus griefers

I can't even play survival, not even with my friends.  It's so boring and uninteresting to play the actual game but I never get tired of just building huge structures.

Half the time it's not fun unless it's a dedicated because otherwise then everyone pesters and badgers you as the admin over stupid petty bullstuff, and like you said it results in a breakdown of civil order in the server and everyone goes apestuff, then eventually I (As the admin) ban everyone, save and close the server and never host again.  Creative was worse.

I just like building port towns C:

oh yeah lol
I wasn't even thinking about non-dedicated servers because I never join those

Everything about minecraft in this thread is true, the only thing minecraft really needs is mods and more multiplayer.

did minecraft lose its taste when beta came out for anyone else?

i remember having a amazingly good time during the alpha stages, but then beta came out and it got boring.. thats why i play creative again :p

Give me an hour or two and you'll all lose.

I have the best collection on one of my computers at home
