The issue here is that you guys aren't actually annoyed by the images by any reasonable issue, but rather you don't like the cartoon. In which case my solution to your issue is to grow the forget up. I don't like plenty of the games and shows people reference in images they post on the forums but I'm not going to antagonize them for it.
while i do agree mostly with your post(because honestly i don't really care that much about the bronies), it's sort of a fundamental difference between MLP and just anything else, because MLP just so happens to have an enormous, ever-expanding fanbase. In fact, i'd go as far as to say the MLP fanbase is sort of intimidating, in a way. I mean, the MLP thread is the quickest growing thread in blockland's history, which dwarfs that of the minecraft thread, or even the "post real life pictures" thread:
