Wait wait wait, the caste system was from India.
This is manorialism.  It is the same thing with a cooler name.

Serfs weren't slaves, they just owned less land than everyone else.  They're like peasants.  A duke does the exact same as a serf only he pays a King.  Serfs pay a knight.

A duke (male) or duchess (female) can be either a monarch ruling over a duchy or a member of the nobility, historically of highest rank below the monarch.

Serfdom is the status of peasants under feudalism, specifically relating to manorialism. It was a condition of bondage or modified slavery which developed primarily during the High Middle Ages in Europe and lasted in some countries until the mid-19th century.

That's not what I meant.  I was using the duke as the highest example of someone under subjection.

The king, obviously, owns all the land.  Let's say he rents it out to 3 dukes.  Those dukes must each pay a certain amount to King Squideey.  Now, one of these dukes rents out some of his land to 2 counts.  Now they must pay the duke a certain amount to help the duke pay the king.  Anyone can have any amount of vassals under him, helping him pay HIS share.

So we start with a king, he has dukes, his dukes have counts and they have barons and the barons have knights, and the knights have serfs.  The serfs can also have their own serfs under them.  Serf is simply referring to the bottom of the food chain.

Does all this stuff even matter? Jojdamn guys, it's a humorous depiction of Squideey and you are too busy arguing over your handicapped caste system to enjoy this Fine Art.

Hm?  Oh yeah, I already complimented squideey's thing.

You don't say.
Oh wait now I get it.

But I don't look like that
