Author Topic: a few random drawings i've done  (Read 5687 times)

let's compare

this was made in 2010:

now compare that to what i've posted in this thread
i'd say i've improved lol

Not even slightly, to say the least.

Try to use real-life proportions to do your drawings.  Actually look at a cat before you draw one, as an example.

Before you respond:  Actually look at a person before you draw one.

Hi, good anthro artist here.

It's actually extremely difficult to get a good character anatomy just right and in a style you like. I'm constantly changing up and adding onto my art style and I still feel like it's not the best I can do.
I keep working on it, however, using my own self-brown townysis and comparisons instead of relying too much on constructive criticism from others. I suggest you should try doing the same.

Ask some better artists their ways of making art, maybe they can demonstrate some tricks.

Not even slightly, to say the least.
wait
what

I actually don't understand what you said.

He's saying shyGriff didn't improve at all.

Oh.
Well, that isn't true.

i say stop trying to color your stuff and just stick to sketches for now
i mean im going to be blunt and say that these are pretty bad and you have a loooong way to go, dont jump ahead and just do basic sketches and maybe look up some tutorials or something

Working on a wolf

what happened to this?
this was a really good start for an outline and you never colored it in as far as i can see.

That's funny and all, but he has a color selection top left of the picture suggesting that he was to color the wolf a light grey.

do you not believe shyGriff is a girl?

because, like, i don't really, but y'know...

do you not believe shyGriff is a girl?

I don't care what it is.  It's 11 years old and needs better art skills, so I offered advice.

Not even slightly, to say the least.
i dunno i'd say that this

is better than this

they're both meant to be cats btw

i found the solution to my shaky lines :D

im trying out a new program called firealpaca
there's a setting to correct the lines
in blue is correction set to 0, in red is correction set to 19, red looks quite a bit smoother

not really anything significant to say just wanted to tell the world how amazing this is
