Hello,

I had just watched the blockland movie "away at war 2", and i was also making a movie of my own. I had been looking in the credits and seen Darkstar had used "Brand X Music". I signed up for it, and i looked in terms and agreements, and i have to say, i dunno how darkstar did this without copyright notice:

"All music compositions and recordings in the production music catalogs are protected by the U.S. Copyright Law. Written permission (license) for any use must be obtained from Company, music representative, rights owners or rights administrator. Unauthorized use in any form constitutes a violation of the Copyright Law, which provides for certain penalties."

I really want to use the music but i dont want to effect copyright. Help plz?

Just put this in the description of the video or credits:

I take no credit for [insert copyrighted music's name's REAL creator here]'s music, and I do not intend to infringe the US copyright law.

It doesn't really matter as long as you're not profiting from it. but to be on the safe side, include the authors name.

You ONLY JUST WATCHED THAT?! Oh my god you have not lived.

I watched it a while ago, i just watched it again fairly recently. XD

Hrm. Look at this:

"If you claim fair use in the video description, your video can't be considered copyright infringement.
Incorrect

Fair use cases can only be determined in court. You should seek legal advice from a qualified copyright attorney for help determining if your use of copyrighted material could be considered fair."

As long as you don't say it's your music and you don't make any profits, they're not going to sue a 10 year old.

they're not going to sue a 10 year old.

True that, but im 14. XD

Can they sue 14 year olds?

Probably, but I don't think they care enough. Just don't claim the music to be yours and you'll probably be fine.

Yes don't use it or you will be sued.
