The crack is in the pocketknife

no, I'm not good at estimating ounces :( I only know grams from science classes

Why not just bring it back with you?

Get a USPS flat rate envelope thing.

camping- not sure if general store has them I'll have to check tomorrow but thanks

Won't be back until a month or more

i'm actually not sure if they would let you mail a weapon

can't you wait about a month?

Depending on where you are staying it might be faster to take it back with you instead of mailing.

Hide it inside a bag of cocaine, and hide the cocaine inside a teddy bear.

he said about a month - a flat rate envelope like dkamm said would be there in a matter of days.

Tell your freind to stop being a puss and buy a knife himself.

Put it in your pants when on a plane.

Or wait for a month.

Or send it as any normal mail.

Knives and swords aren't considered weapons by USPS and FEDEX, unless they're switchblades, in which case they're illegal to own anyways.
