Ontopic; Archery is neat, I did it once when I was 10 or so.
Not pusillanimous individual compound bows, either, these were good old-fashioned bows which actually required effort to use.

I was pretty good at it, hit the target a few times and stuff, not the best though

I did some archery with my dad, he has a few arrows and such. I reccomend picking up a Bear Panda Compound Bow, it's the kind I used and it's great for beginners.

With training, it shouldn't be hard to hit a target dead-on from some 40 feet away.

if you do get a proper compound hunting bow, make sure you either lower the resistance or shoot stuff further away, because i'm always getting arrows stuck in trees to the point where i can't get them out without breaking them
