the only career you'd have to worry about not getting into are the big business corps and the military.
military recruiters will chew your ass for having just 1 felony. those DUIs wont look so pretty either.

local businesses or small scale state businesses are really lenient.
diesel engineering (in idiot terms: hauling stuff in a semi) is the most lenient one out there as far national businesses.
you get a felony or a DUI, nobody cares. as long as you can get your load from point a to point b within your deadline and drive a loving semi, you're fine.

and obviously don't get a loving DUI while driving the semi.

This state is weird as hell and you can be hired almost regardless.

As I said my dad has many DUI's and felonys but yet he can get a job if there was a job to get.

Truck drivers actually don't get handed their own truck by the company they're driving for. They're forced to buy their own and maintain it on their own time with their own money. They're trained to do all of this in whatever DE school they got into.
Even if you're just doing it so you can sit in a grease covered shop all day fixing other trucks for these guys, you're still trained to drive a semi.
