Author Topic: We might have to put our dog down :c  (Read 817 times)

So yeah,
we might
MIGHT!!
have to put my lovely dog to sleep.
(his name is Charlie, by the way)

He's a pug mix with i think golden retriever i dont know but ANYWHO,
He's only 8 years old, and he's been having seizures constantly and constantly.
My mom does NOT want to see him have another seizure again.

The reason for that is because, Each time he has a seizure, his brain functions differently/it hurts his brain while he's having seizures. The latest seizure he has had was ~1 hour long (mom said) and here is her EXACT words:
"I don't want to see him have another seizure, i'm just thinking "will this be the one that will NEVER stop?"

This is what got me there.
My mom asked me "Do you think we should put Charlie down?"
this is what made me hesitate.

I like the dog, He's always excited.
but when he started having seizures, it just blew my mind.

so yeah,
:I

/discuss??

You've probably heard this, but its for his own good.

I never was trying to be funny.
You must be stupid then if you think a male dog can have puppies.

another dead dog another dollar!

another dead dog another dollar!

Another day, another disembowelment.

Our pug had the exact same problems, it was a genetic disease called Pug Dog Encephalitis. There is no cure because it's a genetic disorder, so we had to put her down. It is most likely what your dog has since he is half pug.

My bad, your dog has to be full-blooded pug to have that ^

Forgot to add that the disease causes the immune system to attack the body, usually causes the eyes to go blind, and extreme loss of appetite.
