Author Topic: Any good data storing sites?  (Read 518 times)

My laptop is slowly falling apart and I think it will break very soon cause the side of my screen is exposed. I want to store certain files, like my blockland add-ons and pictures to a website so I can retrieve them if I get a new computer. Any good sites like this?

Dropbox and Mediafire.

dropbox.. mediafire... localhostr... http://dropcanvas.com ...

go with dropbox for things like saves and pictures.

It's weird but sometiems I'd log into my old school website and put stuff there, they do have memory storage for some reason.

You're most likely not going to find a good one that can store more than a few gigs for free so your best bet is buying an external harddrive.

Or you can make a mediafire account or something and upload all your files there (not all at once, MF has a limit on how much per upload unless you get loving premium) and then just download them later once you get your replacement comp.

Just the first few ideas that came to mind.

I don't know of any "good" data storing sites but may I suggest an alternative way?

Gather the files you want to save all in one directory. Compress those files into an archive (Preferably a Cabinet file for best compression) and move the archive onto a removable storage device.

I don't know exactly what you can store on the Google drive, but it probably is pretty good.

I'm going to try dropbox but if that doesnt work right, then I'll use mediafire, unless I get more suggestions

Just get an external hard drive.

Just get an external hard drive.
I never had any need for one, and Im not forking out money just to transfer files.

Dropbox sucks, 2gb for free? forget it, I'll use my memory stick
