@sheath 40fps and 80fps is a huge difference.  If you can't notice a gap like that you must be blind.

Just try it with your own graphics settings for any computer games you have.

Yes 40fps isn't very skippy at all but it isn't nearly as smooth as 80.

what basis do i have for saying you have sucky eyes? i already said it, l2read

You aren't qualified to tell me what my eye sight is like. You just have a bee in your bonnet.

Having bad eye sight won't affect the frame rate I see, unless I was born an alien. Oooga booga.

Uh no, a graphics card incapable of handling such frame rates will start to lag and put out a terrible frame rate. It isn't magic.

You literally have no idea what you are talking about. Graphics card can't handle 80 fps? WTF?

FPS is how many times your GPU is redrawing & your CPU is handling logic per second.

wtf are you talking about? your eyes can't tell the difference between 40-80 fps and it has nothing to do with your eye sight? ok lol, whatever you think.

and how could your graphics card not EVER go over 50fps? graphics cards don't have some universal hardwired fps restriction you dolt.

No, you are wrong. You must have a limited idea of the hardware spectrum.

My graphics card is moderate, most games run at 40 - 70 FPS. Only if I'm lucky I get 80-100FPS (and thats on low).

Its just you are acting like you are more reliable than an optometrist who has evaluated my eye sight. Instead of talking about the technology, you are just derailing from the point as always with rambling.

You know nothing about eye sight. You've just made a naive connection between the two.

I agree, I never said that.

Except I have the advantage of actually understanding how these things work, and with knowledge of game design and how games manage FPS & ingame timescale based on FPS.

Your knowledge of game design will not remove my graphics cards limitation. Maybe you should learn more about standard hardware, and not custom built geek systems.

at 40fps i see this motion blur type crap on first person games.
most people dont notice it, but im a graphics junky with top of the line hardware. i can feel what 40fps is compared to 80

I agree, I never said that.
Alright, I'll concede that my graphics card must not be capable of rendering a game better than 50FPS and therefore I can't tell.

Its just you are acting like you are more reliable than an optometrist who has evaluated my eye site. Instead of talking about the technology, you are just derailing from the point as always with rambling.

you always love to say that i'm rambling or that i'm only disagreeing with you because it's you. i wonder how long before you realize that it isn't an effective counter argument and doesn't detract from the fact that i'm right.

not being able to see the difference between 40 and 80 fps is directly related to your eyesight. go ahead and try and show how they're two unrelated things.

the topic is now about frames per second

I can't stand it either.  I'm more than willing to sacrifice graphics settings just to get a fluid 60 FPS on my GTX460.

Uh I've said that once or twice, in this case you are rambling because its irrelevant.

not being able to see the difference between 40 and 80 fps is directly related to your eyesight.

Ughh for goodness sake you are such a lost cause.

Its related to hardware limitation. I have a laptop graphics card and you are surprised I can't run most things at 80 FPS?

I've basically agreed that my computer just isn't good enough to achieve a high FPS and therefore I can't notice it, which according to benchmark tests of my hardware from NotebookCheck proves its true.

Yet here you are going on about eye sight because you don't understand enough about hardware to make any other connection. Well sorry, but you are wrong. You can say what you like, eye sight has nothing to do with it. Man oh man. No, you don't know more than medical professionals, however much you wish you did.

Go back to doing the only thing you are good at, lifting weights for a cheese shaped body. You aren't cut out for this kind of thing. I have nothing left to add since I don't have the hardware to relate to the rest of you.

Guys
Uh
I think you forgot what the topic name was. It's "Roblox - New dynamic lighting"
Not "Debate whether 40 or 80 fps is good"

you don't understand enough about hardware
And you clearly do, yeah totally.
