Author Topic: My second cousin died today.  (Read 1843 times)

He was 10. I, like his mother, were at my grandma's house for my grandma's birthday. He and his sister were playing with a .22 rifle (I'm not sure where he was, actually) at a different house and she shot him. I'd seen him a few times before, he was a nice kid if a little off. It scares me how many kids don't know gun safety. I had handled a .22 rifle and knew the ups and downs of gun safety when I was 8.

I thought I'd share.

That sucks dude :c

But still, why give a little kid a gun, when she doesn't know how to handle it?

Sorry to hear that. My little cousin shot my older cousin with a BB gun once, just right above his eye. He was fine though.

Same thing happened to my cousin.

So many kids don't know their gun safety.

Sorry for your loss

What if it was a murder?

the plot thickens

I'm sorry about that, I know that feel.
My 8 year old cousin got killed in a golfcart accident when her mother rolled it.
:c

I've had this happen to a friend.

He and his friend with playing with his dad's pistol, and his friend shot him.

I know your pain. :c

Honestly anyone under 18 shouldn't be messing with a rifle besides a BB gun unless on a firing range

Sorry to hear that though.

:c I feel bad for you.
But 10 year olds shouldn't be using guns. Unless if its a Nerf one.

How old is his sister?
