Red, blue, green and yellow are primary colors.

what

Lastly, orange which is green + yellow

what

red, yellow, and blue are the primary colors.
yellow + blue = green, therefore green is a secondary color

this stuff is taught in kindergarten, guys.

also, ike, most colorsets follow the RED>ORANGE>YELLOW>othercolors rule of the rainbow. why didnt you do that here?

It's additive color, which is also what all the pixels on your monitor use.

this stuff is taught in 7th grade, guys.

following RGB, but if we, you know, step into the real world- you'll note that colors don't mix like that!
so, basically, we're both right. it just depends on how you're going at your colors.
me, an artist, goes at it like you were mixing paints.
you guys, computer people, go at it like RGB.

So if you know that you're both technically right, stop acting like he's never been to kindergarden.

because i didn't look at it from the right perspective, and had forgotten exactly how RGB works how viable it is.

my bad.

Except the primary pigments are Cyan, Yellow, and Magenta. Red, Yellow, and Blue is just the handicapped version of pigments that they still drill into people's brains even in college. RYB will never be able to produce as full a spectrum as CYM.

forget
a third system?

I believe things are printed in CYM.

a third system?
Only 1 system. There are primary colors of light, and primary pigments. The reason is that pigments absorb some colors and reflect others, so when you combine them they absorb more color and turn black. Light is just light, when you combine colors of light they turn into white. When dealing with computers, you use the primary colors of light because you are dealing with light. When you are working with pigments, like paint, you use the primary pigments.

7th grade
Teachers were a wee bit stopids about that.
I read a science book through a bit on my own last semester and figured it out.

Can we stop arguing about color placement and maybe download the pack??

no love for HSL?

:S
Light doesn't work that way though.

The standards are too bright to be useful and there is a lack of softs. The darks are just weird.
