Author Topic: Post-modern Hotel Room  (Read 2052 times)

I built this on a whim because I was incredibly bored. It's supposed to be a post-modern hotel room, though I'm not sure if I really captured the true look of something like that. This is in no way meant to look professional at all, just btw.

Thats pretty loving lovey, though the bed? is alittle thin

I think the headboard on the bed looks weird and the bed is too thin, but I like how you created a messy blanket on the end. I also like the window; what impresses me most is the design of the sliding shutters. Although I like the window I'm not sure if it fits with the look of the other objects in the room. The colors you used make it look very metallic while everything else is woody brown.

Is that a white ghost brick floating in the screen or am I missing something? What is the grey object connected to the side of the ceiling fan?

The grey object isn't connected.

Nicely done, though your window is oddly designed, and bed is much too thin. The floor mat (?) doesn't fit in well, and the remote control doesn't have a corresponding tv/device for it to make sense.

Points on the fan blade design; I almost thought you used a custom prop brick there.

That's one fine use of Eksi's light pack. 9.5/10, its kind of empty to be honest.

Alright, answering questions. The white thing on the floor is a discarded long-sleeve white turtleneckish shirt, which I didn't really put much effort into. The 'headboard' is a pillow propped up against its end, on the wall, something which I do often to comfort myself when reading a book.

Being post-modern, I wanted to have elements of technology in with the sort of bland-ish hotel room, so the white 'ghost' brick is supposed to be static from a TV channel. Unfortunately, there's no static color in BL.

The grey object is a ceiling-mounted projector for the hologram TV screen.

I like the molding and the fan but the rest seems rushed.

I wasn't exactly trying to be neat. I'm just building off the top of my head. :P

I love the fan btw :D

I absolutely LOVE this build. 10/10
The only thing is maybe make the bed a little thicker. Other then that,

I wanna rape this.

This, is, sparta, Awesome! But the bed needs some work.

Is there a bath room?

This is all of the build. It's three walls, ceiling and a floor. Good enough for one picture, otherwise I would have posted more.
