Comcast Speed Changes Now Live! :D

As of today Comcast has made the speed changes live for the northeast. To get these changes you may be required to power cycle your cable modem for 30 seconds so your modem can update the config.



If your speed is still the same after the reboot then the update is not in your area yet, but should be no later than Friday. Remember, be sure your hardware supports the speeds.

Really, at those speeds I could use up my entire monthly internet transfer limit in less than 7 minutes.

There is about 5mbps that were being used at the time I did this.

loving awesome. I was at 36/5. Had to use the comcast speedtest cause speedtest.net won't give me the image link.



Steam now peaks at 6.7MB/s, with ~6.3MB/s consistently.

In the speedwave thread I made, he tested his home connection at first, with an above average result. He ran a test from his server afterwards to steal #1. Two other people actually had a higher results.
